I had an opportunity to explore Snowdonia for a day. I started at Blaenau Festiniog
where I had once visited the sculptor David Nash, whose work within nature had been
an early inspiration, helping me to prioritise my own ideas. I decided to stop and
explore at various points along the River Lledr, a long river that is full of interest
and variety. When I got home, I used the images as a way of describing a long journey.
They are disjointed because my attention was refocused again and again by some parts
of the river and its banks: reeds, ripples, reflections, river stones and rushes.
